The Tree is the symbol of our physical body – of its well-being in purely medical terms. If you are reading a Grand tableau, the images that fall around this card will tell you all you need to know about your current state of health. Needless to say, this is not the medical advice you should follow blindly (most people, myself included, avoid doing readings on the matter of health almost completely) and a proper diagnosis of anything that might be wrong is best left to the professional in the field of health care. Still, our Tree may sometimes come in handy as an early but welcome warning – especially if Mice or Coffin are around.
In addition to standing for our physical body, the Tree can also refer to our roots, our ancestors, all the “baggage” that we carry with us, be it material or purely spiritual, inherited both from our forefathers but also potentially from our previous reincarnations. It denotes longevity, growth, maturity and strength and its timing is quite slow but thorough, sometimes spanning many years.
