34. Work and occupation (Kipper card meanings)

34. Work and occupation (Original Kipper Wahrsagekarten, Königsfurt-Urania, 2005)

Work and occupation (or rather preoccupation) is a card you turn to if you wish to know what your business prospects are. It is the image of effort, daily toil, of your job and profession, but also of your hobby, of a pastime you indulge in with passion, of a sport or an extracurricular activity. Being truly neutral, it tends to acquire the characteristics of the cards that surround it, being able to stand equally for a labor of love as well as drudgery and low-paid manual work.

Being in the domain of Aries, it denotes a hardworking and persevering temperament, Protestant work ethic, someone well-trained and focused on the task at hand. It can also stand for your work place, especially when next to a building card which would in turn tell you whether the location in question is large (i.e. Prison) or small (Living room). It also tells us that success is attainable through our own effort and that we ourselves are the sole builder of our future. In regards to your health, it warns you to take good care of your lower back.
