The Good gentleman (or the Good lord, as he is also sometimes called, which still sounds slightly better than Geezer, as some refer to him) is an older man, a father figure, a grandpa, uncle, a former partner or an ex husband. He can sometimes stand for the “other man”, a secret lover, or a husband being cheated on – a secondary partner in a love triangle. It all depends on the context and to whom the Main male significator (the Man card) is assigned. It is always best to have the individuals involved in the situation predetermined, if at all possible, so that you can easily spot their significators on the Grand tableau and read it with ease.
The Good gentleman himself stands for an authoritative yet good-natured male, dignified and strong, competent and persevering, wise and serene, paternal yet cuddly. Physically, he is heavier set, often sporting a beard. Health-wise, the card puts emphasis on joint problems and high blood pressure. Still, in all other aspects, he remains a positive influence on the cards that surround him. He is a boss, a teacher, a mentor and, in case of a same-sex relationship, the gay male querent’s significant other.
